Infusion Patients Receive Care Packages from 4-H Students
July 10, 2015
Hallee Hamilton, daughter of Wade and Mindi Hamilton, did a 4-H presentation on how to make chemo care packages for her 4-H club. In addition, Hallee gave a presentation for her class and then held a lemonade stand at the Southern Iowa Building Center in Lamoni to raise additional money to make more chemo bags. Her care packages include lotion, chapstick, a bottle of water, a crossword puzzle book, a bandana, fuzzy socks, lemon drops, chocolate, and hand sanitizer.
Hallee was joined by her sister Carlee and her friend Mara Dykes, daughter of Tony and Erin Dykes, as she presented a care package to one of our Infusion patients.
The girls will be back next week to visit with Robert Shreck, MD in the Oncology/Hematology specialty clinic about their project.
